Vajra Assembly 2025 – Czech Republic

In July 2025, the Mindrolling International sangha gathered in Czech Republic to receive teachings and transmissions from Minling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche in the annual Vajra Assembly. The retreat began on the 5th of July, which coincided with the most auspicious Guru Rinpoche Day, Teda Tshe Chu, and Rinpoche led the sangha in the tshog offering (ganachakra in Sanskrit) to Guru Rinpoche on this auspicious day.

On July 6th, Rinpoche led the Mindrolling International sangha and many sangha members from various Dharma centers in celebrating the auspicious birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama with mandala offerings and prayers for the long life of His Holiness.

Then to begin the retreat, the sangha made offerings of mandala and ten sum, body, speech and mind, and requested Rinpoche to turn the Wheel of Dharma.  Rinpoche then bestowed profound teachings to the gathered assembly that were interwoven with practice sessions in the chö gar, or dharma encampment. In this way, students received teachings and immediately put them into practice and accomplishment.

The chö gar was established following all proper rituals for making offerings and preparing the land.  Following this, the sangha raised lungta flags and joyfully shouted the traditional “Kiki Soso!” for the tendrel of long life.

For the following 23 days, Rinpoche bestowed profound and vast teachings to the gathered assembly with immense kindness and compassion. Although this year Minling Jetsün Dechen Paldrön could not join the gathering physically, her presence, guidance, and activity were at the very heart of Vajra Assembly.  Through Jetsünla’s tireless work translating the texts with utmost precision and beauty, students have everything needed to correctly and fully understand all of the teachings and practices.

Rinpoche’s teachings were translated live by sangha members into French, Czech, Spanish, Polish, German and Greek.  The tireless effort of the translators made it possible for everyone to receive the teachings fully and completely. In addition to the teachings, reviews took place in each language addressing questions and clarifying what was taught.

These blessed days brought a wonderful cohesion to the sangha as everyone harmoniously moved between hearing the teachings, practicing in the chö gar, engaging in daily group practice, community life, and the shared responsibilities of maintaining the retreat environment.

While enhancements to the beautiful Mokrovraty land continue to appear, the warm hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Zuzak and their staff made everyone feel welcome and at home. The diligence of the local sangha allowed for continuous lamp offerings, and their service to Dharma inspired the entire assembly.

At the conclusion of the retreat, Rinpoche led the gathered sangha in the tshog offering to Guru Rinpoche, and the worldwide sangha also joined by live stream from their own homes in performing the ganachakra offering. With an array of vast offerings in shrine rooms spanning the world, the sangha practiced as one at the feet of the guru.

Having received such teachings and engaged in the practices with fellow sangha members, all expressed their immense gratitude to our precious guru who tirelessly accomplishes every benefit for all beings.  The assembly concluded the retreat by making vast offerings of mandala and body, speech, and mind.

May Minling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche live long and continuously turn the wheel of Dharma.  May such precious opportunities to receive profound the Dharma and directly apply it under the loving guidance of the guru continually manifest.  May every effort arising from this most auspicious gathering and the wholehearted practice of the sangha be a source of liberation for all sentient beings.
