Dzogchen is about simply looking at one’s own awareness.
A yogin should always know, in doing so, what one is working with, is not the awareness but looking at the nature of subject, object, watcher and watched. When these dissolve, awareness is free, naturally. Releasing the infinite expanse by unknotting the knots, we simply maintain that state.—Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche
This year’s winter holiday retreat will be dedicated to deepening our experience and understanding of the profound teachings on Yeshe Lama: The Heart Essence of the Great Perfection, bestowed by Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche during this year’s Vajrayana Retreat. Please join us to review and practice the pith instructions on trekchö and thögal. The retreat will include morning and evening group prayers; a morning review of the teachings followed by personal practice; practice sessions in the afternoon and evening; and opportunities for discussion and individual instruction.
This program is open to those who have received the appropriate transmissions and teachings on Yeshe Lama bestowed by Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche. Following the program—knowing this time is precious—participants are warmly invited to consider continuing on with Yeshe Lama practice for a few days, in individual retreat. Please register with the office if you would like to do so.
Arrival and check in will take place on Wednesday afternoon between 4:00-6:00, followed by dinner at 6:30 pm. The program with begin at 7:30 pm that evening and conclude on Monday, January 1, 2018 after lunch.
Please Note: To schedule a retreat during the holiday period for any practice other than Yeshe Lama, please send email to the Office of Practice & Study firstname.lastname@example.org.
