To dedicate your life to practice when there are so many other things that you
could do is one of the greatest offerings you can make to the three jewels.
It is also one of the greatest acts of generosity that you can extend to sentient beings.
— Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche
It's springtime in the Shenandoah mountains—a wonderful time for ngöndro practitioners to join us at Lotus Garden for renewal and the nourishment of our commitment to the path of liberation. Traditionally, the teachings encourage us to retreat to a solitary place, away from our busy lives. This is a precious opportunity for the deepening of contemplation and practice of the ordinary and extraordinary preliminaries.
The retreat will be begin on Tuesday, April 17th with an evening teaching at 8:00 p.m., and conclude on Sunday, April 22nd after lunch. It will include five daily practice sessions, as well as teachings and discussion of the various practices, and individual instruction. Those who have received permission to begin the vajrayana preliminary practices of ngöndro, are welcome to attend. Program tuition is $295, which includes dorm housing and all meals.
The retreat will be led by Lopöns Barbara Ryan and Helen Berliner.
