Roads and Drainage Projects

ROAD IMPROVEMENT

The Karma Family was also instrumental in planning and coordinating the very successful road improvement project. Fully renovated through the generosity of our sangha members, this work was completed in two phases. Now our once crumbling roads are elegant, safe, and much enjoyed by those walking the land.

DRAINAGE SYSTEM

This year some much needed work was done all around the land to improve our drainage system. The heavy rainfall in spring and early summer spurred the Karma team into improving all the drainage systems, particularly those near the Main Shrineroom, Dekyi Extension and the Buddha Park. Residents manually hauled several tons of stones from the back field of Lotus Gardens for weeks to complete the drains which greatly helped prevent erosion and protected the land when the hurricane season arrived.
