Poland

In the morning on the 21st of May, Rinpoche took off from Marseille to land in Warsaw, Poland later in the afternoon. Rinpoche was invited to the Benchen Karma Kamtzang centre in Poland to teach on the topic of Integrating Emptiness and Compassion and also to fulfill the wish of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche to visit the group of three-year retreatants who had just finished their eighth month in retreat.

Since 2008, when Rinpoche last visited Benchen Ling, the place has undergone tremendous change and development. The three-year retreat, which was still under construction, is now a fully functioning drubkhang housing the first group of retreatants. The residence of Tenga Rinpoche and other visiting teachers was also completed along with another new multi-purpose building used as a library, a lecture hall and a dormitory space during programs.

Remembering the handful of residents of Benchen Ling just a few years ago, with only one simple building and a barn and seeing what it has become today is like seeing a miracle. It is undoubtedly the result of the immense power of the blessings of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche and a testimony to the heartfelt dedication and devotion of the sangha.

Supplicated by the Venerable Lama Rinchen, Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche also bestowed the Green Tara empowerment to an assembly of over 300 students.

During the visit to Benchen Ling, Rinpoche also met with the lively group of students from SamtenTse Poznan, who have been studying under Rinpoche's guidance for several years. Most of these students are currently doing ngöndro practices, and some of the new ones received the lung of the Minling Dorsem ngöndro from Rinpoche this year.
