In Rigpa Berlin Rinpoche was asked to teach on the Healing Power of the Mind. Apart from the two evening lectures on this topic, Rinpoche also met with the Rigpa sangha who asked her for advice with regard to their new project of "Spiritual Care" whose aim is to integrate spiritual practice with outreach to the wider community and to provide assistance and care to those in need. The Rigpa sangha also invited Rinpoche to meet with the residents of Rigpa Berlin. The residents were happy for the opportunity to discuss with Rinpoche the benefits and challenges of resident life in a city centre as well being grateful for Rinpoche's advice on not only proper conduct but also on how to have a fulfilled, joyful life in a Buddhist community.

Rinpoche's next stop was only a four hour train ride away - in the northwestern German town of Bremen, which is the seat of Samten Tse Germany. This was the third year of the Ati Zabdön Cycle of Teachings which Rinpoche began in Bremen in the spring of 2008. It became obvious this year that as the cycle progresses, the teachings become more complex and intensive and therefore the sangha realized the need to dedicate more time to doing the practices with regularity and continuity. To help people maintain the continuity, five new study groups have emerged this year in both Germany and abroad which will meet regularly throughout the year. Furthermore, Ani Dam Tshö and the team of Samten Tse Bremen made a proposition to organize next year's retreat with Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche in a resort facility outside of Bremen, which will provide a better environment for the intensive teaching and practice schedule required for the continuation of the cycle. Subsequently, Rinpoche announced the German Spring Retreat, a seven day intensive program with Rinpoche to be held in April 2011 in Oberlethe near Bremen.
