Expansion Projects

Chöying Gatsal

The centerpiece of Lotus Garden's expansion, the Lhakhang, named Chöying Gatsal, will be a traditional shrine room for teachings and practice. At eighty feet on a side, it will be more than twice the size of our current shrine room and will be equipped with all of the modern conveniences of air conditioning, heating and plumbing. Some infrastructure has already been installed.

The plan includes a covered veranda around the perimeter for circumambulation and overflow seating capacity. Chöying Gatsal will be a tremendous step in making Lotus Garden a suitable vessel to hold Rinpoche's vast vision

For 2010, Lotus Garden continues to work towards raising the funds for this project and we hope to begin construction when half of the funds required to finish have been raised.

Start Date: Spring 2007
